Z-TV is a modern television distribution system that sends satellite, cable, and internally generated content over CAT 6 cable, allowing customers to eliminate coax in new facilities and renovations. It also keeps all video as RF, meaning it is never converted to IP and has no impact on the customer network. Think of the Z-TV system as cable television, just using CAT 6 and fiber rather than coax.
Z-TV systems use two core components for the distribution of television signals; the Z-Distribution and the Z-Balun. In addition to eliminating coax, the Z-TV system stands out for its intelligence and the elimination of external taps, amps and splitters. After the headend is balanced, your Z-Distribution and Z-Balun units communicate to amplify, attenuate, or slope the television signal as needed to deliver a consistent picture quality to over 1,000 TVs with no need for in-line amplification or adjustment.
